Let’s go see the sea: Hainan East Route

The most beautiful maple leaf trip: Benheng Highway

There are many places to enjoy maple leaves in China, such as Xiangshan and Wuyuan in Beijing… But in Liaoning, there is a place called Benxi. Although it is little known, it hides the most colorful touch of autumn.
Benhuan Highway is the section from Benxi County to Huanren County, known as the “Chinese Maple Leaf Road”.
On both sides of the road are rolling mountains, golden larches, and fiery red torch trees. From a distance, you can see red leaves of different colors scattered all over the mountains and plains. The entire Honhuan Line is an excellent route for enjoying autumn.
When the autumn sunshine shines on Guanmen Mountain, the slopes and canyons seem to be enchanted. The red, yellow and orange maple leaves are in full bloom, and the entire mountain range is bathed in golden sunlight.
Laobiangou and Yanghugou are colorful in autumn.

The most beautiful and dangerous road in Xinjiang: Yizhao Highway

Speaking of self-driving, how can you not go to Xinjiang?
In this land, which accounts for 1/6 of China’s land area, there are deserts, Gobis, snow-capped mountains, canyons, grasslands, forests, lakes, rivers… Driving on this empty road, you will be greeted by magnificent and vast scenery. Spread out in front of you without reservation.
In addition to the well-known Duku Highway, there is also a Yizhao Highway in Xinjiang that is only open to traffic for four months a year, but is more colorful than Duku and is also worth visiting.
The starting point of the highway is Yining City, the capital of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. The Tuohulasu Prairie, 40 kilometers away from Yining City, is known as the “urban grassland” because of its convenient transportation.
If you want to talk about the landmark of Yizhao Highway, you can’t go past Baishi Peak at the pass. It is 3475 meters above sea level and is the highest peak on the ridge of Wusun Mountain.

Continuing forward, we reach Angelet Daban.
The viewing platform here is the highest point on the Yizhao Highway, with an altitude of more than 3,000 meters.
Here you can overlook the vast mountains and cedar forests, and also have a panoramic view of the entire Yizhao Highway.
Finally, when you cross Wusun Mountain, you will come to Zhaosu County.
It is the only county in Xinjiang without desert, and it is also a paradise hidden in Ili, the border between China and Kazakhstan.
The undulating grasslands, gurgling streams, sky-piercing pines and cypresses, blooming flowers, rolling hills extending to the foot of the snow-capped mountains, the top of the grassland, the pastoral songs.
When walking in Zhaosu, as long as you look up, you will find that there is always a painting wherever you look.
